Description
Evergreen ornamental bush originated from Japan famous for its spherical inflorescences that can be found in a wide variety of colours of white, pink, red or blue. Its foliage is pointy and thorny with size 10 to 20 cm. It blossoms during spring and it prefers cool and shady locations. It must be protected from direct light and the new shoots protected form cold. It prospers in poor in calcium, neutral to acidic soils. To be mentioned that the acidity of the soil affects the flower colour.
